« Be therefore perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect » (Matthew 5:48). The perfection of God seems a priori unattainable by man, yet Jesus says the opposite and he does not speak in vain. The Lord reminds us that this perfection can be achieved but not gently. Sin must be violently, firmly fought in the life of the believer for his salvation, through brutal changes.
